Privacy notice
Effective October 17, 2026
Team Stats is an unofficial, volunteer-run stats site for youth hockey. This notice explains what information it keeps, who can see it, and how to ask for changes. The site hosts several leagues; each league’s information is kept separate and is visible only to that league’s coaches and staff. See also the Terms of use.
Children
The site is for adult coaches and league staff. Children don’t create accounts or enter anything, and the site doesn’t collect personal information from children. Players are identified by team and jersey number. Player names are not shown unless the league first gets families’ permission.
What we keep
- About games and players: schedules, scores, team shots on goal, goals and assists by jersey number, and bench information (attendance, position and ice time).
- Player evaluations: the league may use a player evaluation system, based on input from coaches and league staff, to help balance Team Stats teams. Evaluations are private: seen only by league staff (the site owner, hockey director and division managers), never public, and never shared with families.
- About coaches and staff: email address, role and team, sign-in records, and two-step sign-in settings. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google and use them only to sign you in.
Who can see it
- The public: team standings, scores and the schedule. Player stats only if the league chooses to publish them.
- Coaches: their own teams’ information. Coaches never see player evaluations; a coach asked for feedback sees only their own input.
- League staff: information for the divisions they run.
Who we share it with
No one outside the league. We don’t sell information, show ads, or use tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookies keep you signed in. Our service providers store and process the data for us: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), and Google (sign-in and email delivery).
Security
Access is by invitation only. League staff must use two-step sign-in. Database rules limit each person to what their role allows. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we’ll tell you as required by law.
Reviewing, correcting or removing information
Parents, players, coaches and staff can ask to see, correct or remove information about them or their child, or to close a login, by contacting the league administrator (ask any coach or division manager to pass your request along). We don’t sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still send an opt-out request to the same contact.
Changes
If this notice changes, we’ll update the effective date above, and coaches and staff will be asked to review the change at their next sign-in.
